Oriented on making people closer

The Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi has developed the first certified educational application in Turkmenistan — Magtymguly's World, which contains the works of the great classic, detailed information about his life and work, works and scientists who studied them.

Maksat Bugraev, one of the co-authors of the project, a teacher of the D. Azadi TNIWL, told about this in an article for the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".

In this article, ORIENT will try to understand the advantages of the application, which make it the best reference book of information about the life and work of Magtymguly, his formation as a classic of not only Turkmen, but also world literature. Specialists will help us with this.

— Students of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan also contributed to the development of the first certified Magtymguly's World application. The illustrations selected for each poem, vividly demonstrating the plots of the narrative, are designed to give a visual representation of the emotions and feelings that await the reader. The scrupulous work of our painters will not be left without due attention. Each visual element creates a common gamut, a holistic composition, complements the design concept. We are satisfied with the work of our masters and novice artists; We hope that the developed application will become a key reference guide and the best collection of works by the thinker of our people — Magtymguly Pyragy.

— The application really managed a difficult task: to combine modernity and the great classics, treating it with due respect, and the design is not just a stylish and pretty picture: the visual knows the measures, does not interfere with reading, but strengthens the image with accents exactly where they are needed. It is easy to dive into the world of Magtymguly even for the unprepared. All the content is conveniently designed: the works are separated from scientific references, which allows you to focus only on reading, and go further in the study if desired. The presentation of the material in the form of cards makes navigation in a huge flow of information much easier, while the materials themselves are given maximum space – so the reader will fully immerse himself in reading, brightened up by neat layout and a sensitive selection of illustrations.

— The application is as functional as possible: firstly, because it allows you to get acquainted with the works themselves; secondly, it is better to learn about the poet himself, his biography, scientists who studied his literary heritage. In addition, everyone will be able to visit the museums and monuments of Magtymguly Pyragy: even a map is provided here for this. Legends about the great sage are of great interest, their electronic collection pleases students the most: echoes of folk art are reflected in the colorful text. This is very convenient: a personal guide of legends helps to learn more about the traditions, culture and history of the Turkmen people.

Tajikul Nepesova, a teacher of the Turkmen language and literature at Secondary School No. 51 in Ashgabat:

— As a school teacher, I want to immediately draw attention to the ease of use: that is, relatively speaking, there are 6 thematic categories, each with a colorful catalog. Ease of use combined with a wide range of materials will help to study the work of the great poet Magtymguly Pyragy not only for students, but also for schoolchildren. Learning poems by heart can sometimes be quite difficult, especially when it comes to classics, but it is much easier to do this with the help of listening: you can get acquainted with each work here not only with the help of the text, but also with listening to an expressive reading.

Nurmurad Gulmuradov, student of the Information Systems Security Faculty of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan:

— If we evaluate the technical side of the project, it is worth noting the unhindered access to the application, which became possible thanks to its placement in the national hosting. This is very relevant now. A good job is visible when writing the application itself from a programming point of view. Therefore, it does not sag and weighs several times less relative to its analogues. Educational content is very popular now: especially if we are talking about Magtymguly Pyragy, whose 300th anniversary we will celebrate widely next year. So far, this is the most successful such project, given the opportunities that have been integrated into it: free download of text and audio files, an excellent visual component. I wish success to the developers and authors; I hope that they will continue to delight us with new ideas.
