Turkmenistan will become a member of the Organization of Turkic States

Turkmenistan, which previously was an observer, will also become a full member of the Organization of Turkic States,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu announced at a meeting with youths at Pamukkale University, Anadolu Agency reported on Thursday.
According to the minister, the decision will be made on November 11 in Samarkand, at the summit of the Organization of Turkic States. “In this way, we hope to complete our family picture,” Cavusoglu said.
The diplomat announced the news about Turkmenistan's accession to the OTS in the context of the regional policy of Turkey he described: “Asia has become the engine of the economy. There are opportunities there. Therefore, we need to use these opportunities. As an Asian power, we have also revised our policies. We have accelerated our specific project work in more than a thousand actions with a holistic approach that takes into account regional differences.”
