A meeting of the heads of Central Asian States is taking place in Kyrgyzstan
21.07.2022 | 19:19 |The presidents of the Central Asian countries are holding a consultative meeting in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata, local media reported. After the official handshake ceremony, a meeting was held in an expanded format.
Welcoming the participants of the summit, the Head of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov addressed the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov:
– Dear Serdar Gurbangulyevich, today you are taking part in a Consultative meeting for the first time. I am convinced that you will continue the mission of dear Gurbanguly Myalikgulyevich and will contribute to the cause of integration and cooperation in Central Asia. Taking this opportunity, I wish you great success and achievements in your post for the benefit of the prosperity of Turkmenistan," Zhaparov said.
It is expected that during the meeting, the heads of Central Asian states will exchange views on strengthening cooperation, joint response to challenges and threats to regional security.
Prospects for expanding cooperation to ensure sustainable economic growth of the region's states will also be discussed. Following the meeting, it is planned to sign a number of documents.
