Oriented on making people closer

Kazakhstan intends to increase export of several goods to Iran through Turkmenistan, as was stated in the Kazakhstan Ministry of Trade and Integration. The total sum of the exported goods can reach 162, 3 million US dollars.

The growth of export of Kazakhstan goods of metallurgical, food, machine-building, pharmaceutical and chemical industries should be promoted by the railway route “Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran” (KTI), as showed the analysis carried out by the ministry.

Earlier Turkmenistan initiated to sign the Memorandum on commercialisation of the KTI railway corridor in November 28 in Ashkhabad.

The document will promote increase of economic potential of the KTI railway corridor through which annually it is possible to transport to 12 million tons of cargoes. Since then by this route on the average only about 1 million tons of cargoes were transported a year.
