 Georgia's airports set record with over 7.4 million passengers in 2024

In 2024, Georgian airports served more than 7.4 million passengers and handled 31,900 flights, setting a new record. This was announced by the Director of the Georgian Airports Association, Irakli Karkashadze.

According to him, the number of passengers increased by 24% compared to the previous year, while the number of flights grew by 25%. Data from the Georgian Airports Association shows that Tbilisi International Airport recorded a historic high of over 4.7 million passengers in 2024, with 22,700 flights operated.

Compared to the previous year, passenger traffic increased by 29%, and the number of flights rose by 30%. Kutaisi International Airport (Western Georgia) also achieved its highest passenger volume in history, serving 1.7 million passengers and 5,000 flights in 2024.

This represents a 3% increase in passenger traffic and a 1% rise in the number of flights compared to the previous year. A historic record was also set at Batumi International Airport (Western Georgia), which handled 951,700 passengers and 4,100 flights last year. Compared to the previous year, passenger traffic increased by 53%, while the number of flights grew by 33%.
