In commemoration of World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5th, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Global Environment Facility (GEF) project "Conservation and Sustainable Management of Land Resources and High Value Ecosystems in the Aral Sea Basin for Achieving Multiple Benefits" hereby announces the commencement of the application period for a competition to develop visual materials on the theme: "The Importance of Biodiversity Conservation in the Protected Areas of Turkmenistan". This project is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan.
