Over 153,000 Turkmen citizens visited Turkiye in 2024
In 2024, over 153,000 citizens of Turkmenistan visited Turkiye. Specifically, 153,688 Turkmen citizens traveled to Turkey in 2024, marking a 27% increase compared to the previous year. This information was conveyed by the Ambassador of Turkiye to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok, at an event dedicated to Turkey's Tourism Week.
Ambassador Demirok noted that Turkiye continues to strengthen its position within the global tourism sector. In 2024, the country received over 62 million tourists. For 2025, Turkey anticipates setting new records with a projection of 65 million tourists and 64 billion US dollars in tourism revenue.
"Thanks to its mild climate, natural beauty, historical heritage, and unique culture bridging East and West, Turkiye remains one of the most attractive countries for travelers worldwide" the Ambassador emphasized.
He further stated that a diverse range of tourist activities to suit every taste can be found year-round in every region of Turkiye.
