At the extraordinary IV party congress, it was decided to nominate the deputy head of the Mary region, Agadzhan Bekmyradov, as a candidate for participation in the presidential elections.

On Tuesday, February 15, the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda in Turkmenistan held a meeting at which Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov, nominated by the Democratic Party of the country, was registered as a candidate for the highest state post.

Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdimuhamedov has been nominated as a candidate for the presidency of Turkmenistan. This happened at the ninth extraordinary congress of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan. Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the congress participants, who supported his candidacy.

On Monday, the election campaign for the election of the President of the country started in Turkmenistan. Within its framework, the nomination of candidates, their registration, meetings with voters and other events will take place.

The Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) of the CIS will consider an invitation from Turkmenistan to take part in monitoring the upcoming March 12 early presidential elections, if it is sent.
