MICHELIN Guide Türkiye 2026 has unveiled a new and significantly expanded restaurant selection, confirming the maturity of Türkiye ’s culinary scene and, for the first time, including the Cappadocia region. This expansion brings together Istanbul, Izmir, Muğla, and Cappadocia, reflecting the rich diversity of Turkish gastronomy.

A total of 54 new restaurants were added to the 2026 selection. MICHELIN also announced that starting next year, a complete national selection covering the entire country of Türkiye will be presented for the first time.
Key Achievements and Awards

Two MICHELIN Stars:
Vino Locale in Izmir, previously awarded one star, was promoted to two MICHELIN Stars, becoming the first restaurant in Izmir to receive this distinction.
New One MICHELIN Star Restaurants:
• Revithia (Cappadocia) — the region’s first star-awarded restaurant, reviving ancient recipes.
• Araf (Istanbul) — a restaurant focusing on pure Turkish flavors cooked over open fire.
• Mezra Yalıkavak (Muğla) — a restaurant based on the use of protected local products and traditional techniques.

The total number of One MICHELIN Star restaurants has reached 15. The inclusion of Cappadocia, with its 18 new establishments, was particularly highlighted by inspectors for its deep respect for tradition and terroir.
• Bib Gourmand: Sixteen new restaurants were added to the list recognizing excellent food at moderate prices.
• Green Star: Four restaurants received the Green Star for their commitment to sustainability principles.
Overall, 38 new establishments were added to the MICHELIN Selected list, bringing the total number of recognized venues to 115. Inspectors emphasized that authenticity, hospitality, and respect for tradition remain the defining characteristics of Turkish gastronomy.
