 Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation discussed the forthcoming high-level Caspian forums

Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation - Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Vladimir Putin discussed via phone bilateral cooperation and also II Caspian economic forum dated to summer and VI Summit of heads of the Caspian littoral states planned for autumn which are urged to expand interaction between two countries and in the region.

Putin also expressed again to the head of Turkmenistan his condolences in connection with the recent loss of his father - Malikguly Berdimuhamedov, informs «Turkmenistan today» website.

During conversation the president of the Russian Federation noted that the Russian side highly appreciates participation of the high-ranking Turkmen delegation at the session of the Eurasian intergovernmental council to be held on April 29-30 in Kazan as the guest of honour.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that activization of dialogue with Russia is one of the key vectors of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan.

It was pointed out that the Russian-Turkmen strategic partnership develops successfully. Thereupon some topical issues of bilateral cooperation with a focus on the further strengthening of mutually advantageous trade and economic relations and joint struggle with COVID were discussed, as informs the website of the president of Russia kremlin.ru.
