On October 7, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić-Radman.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the current visit will give new and powerful impetus to the development of mutually beneficial interstate cooperation.

As emphasized during the conversation, cooperation between Turkmenistan and Croatia is based on the principles of friendship, equality, and mutual benefit. Turkmenistan, based on its internationally recognized status of permanent neutrality, actively maintains peaceful relations with all countries.

The dynamic development of political and diplomatic relations was particularly noted, exemplified by Croatia's co-authorship of constructive initiatives promoted by Turkmenistan at the UN. The Turkmen government, in turn, supported Croatia in its elections to international organizations.

The visit's program included the next meeting of the Turkmen-Croatian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, which will examine in detail prospects for cooperation in trade, economics, energy, transport, and other areas. It will also include a business forum designed to establish direct dialogue between entrepreneurs, outline joint projects, and identify new areas of mutually beneficial partnership.

The head of state confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to consider specific proposals from the Croatian side in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, thereby cementing their interest in the consistent development of dialogue.
