 The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Russia Held a Telephone Conversation

On October 7, a telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

The dialogue, held in a traditionally friendly atmosphere, was timed to the Russian leader's birthday. The President of Turkmenistan warmly congratulated Vladimir Putin, wishing him health, prosperity, and success in his government duties.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the strategic status of bilateral relations, noting that they are based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and good neighborliness. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the Russian leader for his personal attention to the development of interstate dialogue.

In turn, Vladimir Putin thanked the Turkmen leader for his congratulations and praised the Turkmen leader's significant contribution to strengthening cooperation. The Russian leader also conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty.

The Turkmen leader invited his Russian counterpart to participate in the prestigious Forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality. The forum will be held on December 12 of this year in Ashgabat.

Vladimir Putin thanked him for the invitation, emphasizing the crucial role Turkmenistan's policy, based on positive neutrality, plays in strengthening regional peace and prosperity.

During the conversation, the heads of state noted that Turkmenistan and Russia are successfully cooperating across a wide range of areas. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov particularly emphasized the fruitful relations established with the regions of the Russian Federation, which constitute an important vector of interstate dialogue.
