The Ashkhabad-Tejen high-speed highway opens on Friday, October 29. This road - the first stage of autobahn Ashkhabad-Turkmenabat. On its readiness for input Deputy-Chairman Chary Gylyjov reported the President of Turkmenistan at the government meeting on Thursday.
Participants of the ceremony of commissioning of the new road will familiarise with infrastructure of this transport object, in particular, control centre, service centres, systems of monitoring and safety, realisation of payments and others.

Closed Joint-Stock Company «Turkmen autobahn» which enters the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country, which hires several local civil engineering firms, carries out the large-scale project. Approximately, in a year it is planned to start the second site of the autobahn - from Tejen to Mary, and in a year and the third - from Mary to Turkmenabat.
The high-speed 600-kilometre highway should raise essentially throughput of the road network of the country and as a part of the international multimodal system to promote the growth of transit cargo transportation.
Autobahn Ashkhabad-Turkmenabat, being joined the highway Ashkhabad-Turkmenbashi, opens an access to the seaport on the Caspian Sea, whence the geography of deliveries covers directions towards the Caucasus and Europe, to the south of Russia, to the north of Iran, to the Persian and Oman gulfs.

Commissioning of the autobahn will allow organising the direct transit transportations, connecting seaside Turkmenbashi with such frontier cities, as Artyk, Sarakhs, Ymanazar, Farab and others.
As director general of Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers Mammetkhan Chakyev reported at the governmental meeting in the solemn opening of the highway Ashkhabad-Tejen representatives of international organisations and regional transport-logistical associations will also take part.
