EXPO 2025: how Central Asia will present itself at the World Exposition

Each will present its distinctiveness, achievements, and vision for the future, reflecting the overarching theme of the exposition.
Turkmenistan: Harmony of Traditions and Innovations
Turkmenistan's pavilion is distinguished by its light, triangular form, symbolizing forward movement and renewal. Its dome is inspired by the gülyaka pattern, while the exterior evokes images of the Garagum Desert. The pavilion comprises three levels: the first features immersive technologies that transport guests on a virtual journey through the country's history and culture; the second highlights achievements in the fields of energy, medicine, sports, and education, including a unique exhibition of medicinal plants; and the terrace offers traditional tapchans, green tea, and Turkmen cuisine prepared with natural products.
Uzbekistan: Garden of Knowledge
Uzbekistan's pavilion, a recipient of the German Design Award, is designed in the shape of a tumar – an ancient amulet symbolizing protection and spirituality. It represents an architectural metaphor for a "garden of knowledge," where history, innovation, and sustainable development intersect. The use of natural materials and a modular construction underscores the country's commitment to an environmentally conscious future. The airy wooden structure with unique ornaments alludes to Uzbek traditions and culture, creating a space for ideas and open dialogue.
Kazakhstan: Shanyrak as a Symbol of Unity
The Kazakhstani pavilion is located in the thematic cluster "Connecting Lives" and portrays the country as a strategic bridge between East and West. Its central symbol is the shanyrak, embodying cultural unity and sustainable development. Interactive exhibits cover history from the Golden Man to the present day, successes in sports, environmental initiatives, and investment projects. Visitors will be able to explore the heritage of the Great Silk Road and view materials dedicated to the Ulus of Jochi.
Kyrgyzstan: Dialogue of Cultures
The Kyrgyz pavilion will be designed in a national style, seamlessly blending Kyrgyz traditions and Japanese aesthetics. Renowned designer Dilbar Ashimbayeva is working on its оформление (design/decoration). The exposition will highlight the country's natural beauty, tourism potential, culture, and investment opportunities, emphasizing mutual understanding and cultural exchange between the two nations.
Tajikistan: Focus on Water and Life
Tajikistan's emphasis is on the themes of "Saving Lives" and "Connecting Lives," reflecting the republic's initiatives in the field of water resource protection and glacier preservation. The pavilion will also present the country's achievements in agriculture and industry, and demonstrate tourist routes, natural beauty, and prospects for international cooperation.
