Iranian Ambassador Ali Mojtaba Ruzbehani, in turn, acquainted the Turkmen side with Tehran's position on the latest events in the Middle East. Both sides agreed on the paramount importance of using exclusively diplomatic means to resolve any contentious issues, which should be carried out in strict accordance with the principles of the UN Charter and generally recognized norms of international law, the Foreign Ministry press release said.
A special moment of the meeting was the Ambassador's deep gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan. Gratitude was expressed for the prompt resolution of humanitarian issues. In particular, the Iranian diplomat thanked the Turkmen side for the comprehensive support provided to the official delegation of Iran, which was returning home after a visit to one of the neighboring countries in the region through the territory of Turkmenistan.
