Today, environmental awareness and sustainable development are not merely trends, but necessities. Combating climate change and protecting natural resources have become global priorities, and Turkmenistan is actively contributing to this movement.

The country has set ambitious environmental goals: to achieve zero growth in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, and subsequently to significantly reduce them. A significant step in this direction has been the production in Turkmenistan of the liquid reagent "AUS-32" (known under the European brand "AdBlue"), which significantly reduces harmful emissions from diesel engines. This product was introduced for the first time in our country by the individual enterprise "Bir Kuwwat".

What is AUS-32 and How Does it Benefit the Environment?

AUS-32 is a liquid reagent used in the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system to purify diesel vehicle exhaust gases. It helps reduce the content of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in emissions by up to 90%, meeting stringent environmental standards such as Euro IV, Euro V, and Euro VI.

The product is an aqueous solution consisting of 32.5% highly purified urea (technical carbamide grade "A") and 67.5% demineralized water.

Nitrogen oxides (NOx) are hazardous to health:

• NO (nitrogen monoxide) binds to hemoglobin, disrupting oxygen transport in the body.

• NO₂ (nitrogen dioxide) irritates the lungs, causing inflammation and asthmatic processes.

AUS-32 helps convert these harmful substances into harmless nitrogen and water, thereby reducing air pollution.

"Bir Kuwwat" and German Expertise in Ecological Production Following global environmental standards, the local company "Bir Kuwwat" has established the production of the AUS-32 reagent under the trade mark "BK Blue" in Turkmenistan. The project is being implemented with the participation of leading European specialists.

On November 16, 2022, company representatives met with the Head of the Legalization and Compliance Department, responsible for legal policy issues at the VDA, Dr. Ralf Scheibach, to discuss production certification according to the international standard ISO 22241.

Also, on March 16, 2023, a contract was signed with the Turkish company EndülüsKrom for the construction of an AUS-32 production plant under the "BK Blue" brand in the Akhal region. The plant's production capacity is 4,000 tons of AUS-32 product under the "BK Blue" brand per month.

Why is the AUS-32 Liquid Reagent Necessary?

Compliance with environmental standards: Helps meet strict environmental standards;

Emission reduction: Reduces harmful NOx emissions, improving air quality;

Fuel economy: Optimizes engine operation, increasing fuel efficiency;

Engine lifespan extension: Reduces wear and deposit formation in the engine;

It has been previously reported that the product is used as an additional working fluid in diesel engines, helping to reduce the negative impact of exhaust gases on the environment. The "Bir Kuwwat" enterprise first introduced the product at the "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnection and Development" (ITTC-2024) exhibition last November. "Bir Kuwwat" products are certified, high-quality, and meet all current requirements of global manufacturers of transport equipment, which allows full adherence to the import substitution policy.

Additionally, "Bir Kuwwat" produces antifreeze of grades G11 and G12, which meet global standards and can be used in various types of transport equipment operating with an antifreeze-based cooling system. Production also includes products such as distilled water, which is necessary for use in everything from transportation equipment to household appliances such as irons, etc.

The use of AUS-32 is not only a contribution to environmental protection but also a concern for the health of citizens. Air pollution from nitrogen oxides (NOx) is one of the main causes of respiratory diseases, cardiovascular disorders, and general deterioration of people's well-being. Reducing their concentration in the atmosphere directly contributes to reducing morbidity and improving the quality of life of the population.

The application of modern environmentally friendly technologies, such as BK Blue, plays an important role in creating a safe and comfortable urban environment. Turkmenistan is taking confident steps towards sustainable development, implementing innovative environmental projects aimed at reducing harmful impacts on nature and protecting the health of citizens.

The production of AUS-32 at a domestic plant not only reduces dependence on imports but also makes advanced technologies available for widespread use, contributing to the greening of the country's transport sector.
