TULM carries out bilateral container rail transportation within the framework of the CASCA+ multimodal transport corridor

As part of the new CASCA+ multimodal transport corridor, established to offer competitive and attractive tariffs, cargo transportation is carried out along the route China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey – European countries and in the reverse direction.

The Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM) ensures the efficient transportation of goods and coordination of logistics processes along this route.

In February 2025, one of the first shipments transported by TULM via the CASCA+ route consisted of ores and concentrates. They were delivered by rail from Sergeli station in 180 twenty-foot containers to the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi, from where they were shipped to European countries via feeder vessels.

In the reverse direction, within the framework of the international multimodal transport and transit project CASCA+, five railway convoys were sent from the ports of Poti and Batumi to the Republic of Uzbekistan. TULM ensured their delivery to the International Sea Port of Turkmenbashi simultaneously on four Azerbaijani vessels, after which the cargo was reloaded onto railcars for further dispatch to the corresponding stations in Uzbekistan.
