 International conference on the promotion of the Russian language to be held in Moscow

The Russian-Turkmen Center for Culture and the "Caspian Heritage" Foundation for the Promotion of Friendship among the Peoples of the Caspian States will hold an International Conference on "The Russian Language as the Basis for Dialogue between the Cultures of Russia and the Caspian Five in the Context of the Global Changes of the 21st Century" on February 13. The event, aimed at promoting the Russian language, will be held at the Moscow House of Nationalities in offline and online formats.

Representatives of public organizations, experts in the field of education, and scientists will discuss the problems of ensuring the competitiveness of Russian education in a changing world, the prospects for developing cooperation in higher education, and the promotion of the Russian language in China, Iran, and Central Asian countries.

Prominent Russian and foreign scientists, professors, and teachers are invited to participate, including representatives from Moscow State University, the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, the Southern Federal University, the Caspian-Eurasia Center for International Studies, the Astrakhan State Technical University, and the Center for Film Festivals and International Programs. Among the invited guests of the Forum is Alexander Lebedev, General Director and Editor-in-Chief of the Bolshaya Aziya TV channel.

The event is being held jointly with the Information Policy Commission of the Council on Nationalities Affairs under the Government of Moscow, the ANO DPO "Education - Russian Word", the Humanitarian Institute of the CIS Countries, the Moscow Business Club of the Greater Caspian Countries, and the International Expert Council of the Caspian Countries. It is expected that long-term cooperation agreements will be signed during the event.
