Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan launch the process of preliminary customs information exchange
04.02.2025 | 12:53 |The Turkmen side has signed the Technical Conditions for the exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles being moved between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The document was developed to implement the provisions of the Agreement between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan on organizing the exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles moving between the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, dated October 25, 2021.
The document approves the list of information to be exchanged between the customs services of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan. It also defines the procedures, formats, methods, and regulations for exchanging information.
The implementation of the preliminary notification will take place in two stages. In the first stage, a test will be conducted, and the process of exchanging export declarations will be launched. In the second stage, the process of exchanging transit declarations will be tested and launched.
It is expected that the provision of preliminary information on cargo and the exchange of information will help accelerate customs procedures for goods movement between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
