Kyrgyzstan proposes establishing a Regional AI Hub

During the international digital forum "Digital Almaty 2025" Kyrgyzstan proposed the creation of a Regional Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hub.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, stated that the establishment of such a hub would allow for the systematic and large-scale integration of AI into government processes, which is a key step toward improving the efficiency and quality of public services. The hub will serve as a platform for knowledge exchange, resources, and best practices among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Additionally, the development of regional AI regulation standards is planned, which will ensure the protection of citizens' data while simultaneously promoting innovation.

Kasymaliev also emphasized the importance of access to computational power through regional data centers, which will help eliminate technological barriers.

Kyrgyzstan is also ready to initiate a pilot project to create a unified coordinating body for managing regional projects and harmonizing strategies, which will enable the countries in the region to become a global digital hub.
