Students of the University of Engineering and Technologies of Turkmenistan named after Oguz Khan have completed practical training in the Central Kopetdag region

Faculty members of the "Ecology and Environmental Technologies" department at the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, together with students specializing in "Ecology and Natural Resource Management", conducted a practical session in the Central Kopetdag region.

During the session, students studied the formation of mountains and their geological structure, using the Central Kopetdag as a case study. The practical session also provided valuable information on the types of rocks and minerals found in the region, the formation of natural phenomena in the mountains, and the impact of mountains on wind direction and speed.

Water and soil samples were collected for further scientific research in laboratory conditions. Medicinal plants found in the Central Kopetdag region piqued the students' interest. Using the multi-volume scientific and encyclopedic work "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" by the Scholar Arkadag as their reference, the students examined the morphological structure and life characteristics of the medicinal plants in the area.

The practical session also gave students the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they had gained in real-world settings. Students of the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan regularly participate in various environmental events and competitions at both the national and international levels. The university's efforts to ensure environmental well-being are highly regarded worldwide. The Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan also ranks among the leaders in the "UI Green Metric", a global ranking system that evaluates universities on environmental sustainability, protection, and the responsible use of natural resources.
