Turkmenistan is interested in exploring hydrogen production technologies, leveraging Hungary's experience

Turkmenistan and Hungary are expanding their partnership in sustainable energy, with a particular focus on joint projects in the field of "green" hydrogen technologies. Hungarian Ambassador to Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, József Rózsa, noted in an interview with Trend that both countries are interested in advancing hydrogen technologies, which play an essential role in the transition to clean energy.

According to the ambassador, Hungary is ready to share its experience in hydrogen production, and Turkmenistan is showing growing interest in applying these technologies for sustainable energy development.

Additionally, Hungary and Turkmenistan are actively strengthening cooperation in other sectors, such as energy, agriculture, healthcare, and education. During Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s official visit to Ashgabat in June 2023, several agreements were signed, including the Stipendium Hungaricum program, which allows Turkmen students to pursue their studies in Hungary.
