Google unveils Pixel Watch 4: smartwatch with record battery life and satellite connectivity
23.08.2025 | 17:55 |Google has announced its most advanced smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 4. The new model features an improved design, extended battery life, and is the first of its kind to support autonomous satellite connectivity for emergencies. The watch also retains its unique heart-rate stop detection feature.
The device is equipped with a new Actua 360 display that has thinner bezels and a brightness of up to 3,000 nits, making it easily readable even in direct sunlight. Performance is powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip, which is 25% faster while consuming half the power. This has allowed for an extended battery life of up to 40 hours in the top-tier version. The watch supports fast charging, reaching 50% in just 15 minutes.
Other key innovations include improved sleep tracking accuracy, a skin temperature sensor, and dual-frequency GPS. The body is made of aluminum, and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The Pixel Watch 4 is also the brand's first watch where both the battery and the display can be replaced. Pre-orders are now open, with sales starting on October 9th.
