 Donald Trump's media company shares jumped 62% after US election

On Wednesday, 6 November, during trading on the premarket of the NASDAQ exchange, stock quotes of Trump Media & Technology Group, which operates the social network Truth Social, jumped by 62.02% to $54.99 per paper.

Against the backdrop of the preliminary results of the US presidential election, demand for shares of the media holding company, a controlling stake in which belongs to Donald Trump, soared.

The 60th US presidential election was held on 5 November. Former US President and businessman Donald Trump, representing the Republican Party, and current Vice President Kamala Harris from the Democratic Party competed for the country's top post.

According to US media projections, Donald Trump surpassed Kamala Harris by more than 270 electoral votes.
