In Kyrgyzstan, foreign vehicles are being legalized
A phased legalization of foreign vehicles has begun in Kyrgyzstan.
A decree aimed at simplifying the legalization process for vehicles with foreign license plates was signed by the President of the Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov. It was adopted to ensure transparency in the acquisition of vehicles and to protect the rights of bona fide owners.
The legalization procedure will take place in three stages.
The first stage will legalize vehicles with title documents. The second stage involves the legalization of vehicles in proper technical condition but lacking such documents. The third stage will allow owners of undocumented vehicles to sell them for parts, export them from the country, or dispose of them.
The government has been instructed to develop and approve the necessary rules and conditions for the initial registration of such vehicles within two months, as well as to establish the registration fees.
