 The II Caspian Digital Forum opens in Dagestan

On Thursday, the International Caspian Digital Forum will start in Kaspiysk. Representatives from Caspian countries will discuss the development of the “North-South” transport corridor.

“Representatives from the Caspian region countries will gather in one venue to discuss cooperation in the development of the “North-South” transport corridor. The aim of the forum is to strengthen international collaboration in the digital sphere with Iran, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan”, the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development of Dagestan stated.

In 2024, the business program of the forum will cover industry topics” “Remote Sensing of the Earth”, “Transport”, “Cross-Border Digital Interaction”, and “Service Infrastructure”. Participants will discuss the creation of an international digital hub, cross-border services, and the operation of marketplaces.

Maksut Shadayev, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, will take part in the panel discussion. Among the guests of the forum are ambassadors from the Caspian region countries, representatives of federal and regional authorities, journalists and others. In total, the forum will be attended by more than 500 people, including developers of IT companies, manufacturers of digital technologies and software developers.

An exhibition demonstrating digital solutions will open at the forum site, along with a drone race, the Dagestan Cup for competitive programming, and a hockey match.

The Caspian Digital Forum will take place from October 31 to November 1 with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
