Oriented on making people closer

Diyarbakir is one of the most ancient places in eastern Turkey, located on the banks of the Tigris. It was here, in the valley between the Tigris and the Euphrates, that human civilization was born. A group of Turkmen travelers, consisting of representatives of travel companies of our country, went on a unique journey organized by the representative office of Turkish Airlines.

The first stop was the famous Zerzevan Mansion, where the participants had a traditional breakfast in the atmosphere of the stone architecture of Diyarbakir. Then the group of Turkmen tourists went to the Dengbey House, where the unique musical tradition of the region has been preserved. Here, the guests witnessed the performance of folk songs passed down from generation to generation.

One of the key places of the tour was the Cemil Pasha Mansion, built in the 19th century. This building, which today serves as a museum, is an example of the traditional architecture of Diyarbakir. Then the tour participants examined the historical walls of the city, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The inscriptions and ornaments on these structures tell about the thousand-year history of the city.

The Ulu Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Anatolia, attracted attention with its architecture, which combines Islamic, Roman and Byzantine elements. The tourists also visited the Four-Legged Minaret, a unique structure standing on four columns. According to tradition, the passage under these columns symbolizes the wish for peace and unity.

Equally impressive were the Surp Giragos Armenian Church, the largest in the Middle East, and the Hasan Pasha Caravanserai, where guests could enjoy coffee in the historic courtyard.

The Hevsel Gardens, located on the banks of the Tigris, impressed with their natural beauty and rich agricultural heritage. To end the day, travelers visited the Diyarbakir Archaeological Museum, which introduced them to the history of the region from ancient times to the Ottoman period.

Dinner at the Berosh restaurant, where traditional local dishes were served, was a pleasant end to the day. The group stayed at the Mitra Hotel and is ready for new discoveries.
