OGT-2024: Turkmenistan discusses the future of natural gas and investment opportunities

The event included two panel discussions focusing on new export routes and the potential of Turkmen natural gas. Myrat Archayev, Deputy Chairman of the State Concern “Turkmengas”, noted that increasing exports could bring additional growth to Turkmen economy. The discussions covered the current dynamics of export markets and the challenges facing the gas sector.
The second panel focused on the monetization of natural gas as a key element of the energy transition. Annageldi Saparov, Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan, discussed strategies for attracting investment in the gas sector and the role of natural gas in achieving zero emissions. The participants covered prospects for infrastructure development and the need for modern technologies to reduce methane emissions.
