As reported by the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Belgium, Ambassador of Turkmenistan Sapar Palvanov emphasized at the meeting that sports are one of the priorities for the country in both domestic and foreign policy. In particular, he said: "Sports for Turkmenistan are not only a key part of the national program, but also an important factor in international relations. We actively support sports initiatives at all levels and are ready to offer Turkmenistan as a venue for major international competitions, given our successful experience of hosting the Asian Games in 2017."
