Oriented on making people closer

On September 25, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belarus hosted a festive meeting with Turkmen students from higher educational institutions of Minsk. The ceremonial event was dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and the Year of Magtymguly Fragi.

In his speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Nazarguly Shagulyev noted that over the years of independence, under the wise leadership of the President of the country, large-scale programs and reforms have been implemented in the spheres of economy, education and public life, aimed at the prosperity and well-being of the people.

He also stressed that 2024 has been declared the year of the "Found of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi" in connection with the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet. This decision is aimed at popularizing his literary and philosophical heritage. The ambassador noted that the work of Magtymguly Fragi makes an important contribution to the culture of peace, promoting patriotism and humanism, and called on young people to appreciate this spiritual heritage. The diplomat also spoke about the preparations underway in Turkmenistan for international events dedicated to the anniversary.

The meeting participants were shown videos reflecting Turkmenistan's successes in the political, economic and cultural spheres over the years of independence, as well as the creative heritage of Magtymguly Fragi.
