Oriented on making people closer

By decree of the President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the Intergovernmental Coordination Council on Seed Production of the CIS Ivan Kuzmin was awarded the highest degree of distinction – the title “Hero of Turkmenistan” with the presentation of the gold medal “Altyn aý”.

The highest state award was presented to Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, academician I. Kuzmin by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, held in Ashgabat on September 24. "Having expressed heartfelt gratitude for the high award, Kuzmin expressed words of admiration for the achievements of modern, dynamically developing Turkmenistan, as well as gratitude for the conditions created by the country's Government for broad international cooperation, as evidenced by the recent holding of major forums in Ashgabat - the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Coordination Council on Seed Issues, the International Scientific Conference "Achieved Milestones and Set Tasks in Seed Production of Agricultural Crops" and, within its framework, an exhibition of agricultural achievements of Turkmenistan," the TDH report says.

National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the head of the Intergovernmental Coordination Council on Seed Production of the CIS on the same day.

Having thanked the academician-agrarian for his tireless efforts to improve scientific research in the agricultural sector of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated I. Kuzmin on receiving the highest award of our country - the high title of Hero of Turkmenistan for the large-scale work carried out in this direction and his personal contribution to the development of seed production.

Ivan Kuzmin admitted that the exciting event that took place within the framework of a large-scale forum was a pleasant surprise for him and was perceived as respect for his work. At the same time, high praise was given to the new varieties of wheat "Serdar", "Arkadag", "Pyragy", developed by scientists from scientific research agricultural institutes of our country.
