Oriented on making people closer

On Friday, September 20, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan in Minsk Nazarguly Shagulyev met with rector of the Belarusian State Medical University Sergei Rubnikovich.

The subject of the diplomat's conversation with the head of the leading medical university in the republic was the definition of promising areas in expanding educational cooperation and intensifying academic interaction with specialized educational institutions of Turkmenistan, the exchange of teaching methods and pedagogical experience.

Special attention was paid to the discussion of the conditions for admission of Turkmen citizens to the first year and preparatory department, as well as the conditions of their residence in student dormitories.

Today, the educational process at BSMU is organized at 7 faculties: medical, dental, pediatric, medical and preventive, pharmaceutical, medical faculty of foreign students, career guidance and pre-university training and at 3 institutes: military medical and advanced training and retraining of health care personnel, research institute of experimental and clinical medicine. The university has over 7,500 students, postgraduates, clinical residents, including over 2,000 foreign citizens from more than 50 countries receiving education in Russian and English. The university is included in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
