 Turkmenistan and Zambia discussed cooperation in the field of education

An online meeting took place between representatives of the Ministries of Education of Turkmenistan and Zambia. The meeting focused on the prospects of cooperation in the field of higher education, as well as student exchange programs between universities in both countries. Key figures from the educational systems of both nations participated in the discussions, highlighting the significance of the event in strengthening bilateral collaboration.

The Turkmen delegation included the Head of the Department of Higher Education and the International Department of the Ministry of Education, as well as leading specialists from the International Department. The primary focus was on exploring ways to establish cooperation between Turkmen universities and educational institutions in Zambia, opening new opportunities for sharing experiences.

The Zambian side was led by Dr. John Machayi, Chief Executive Officer of the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board (HELSB). The delegation also included:

Ms. Nadezhda Shumilova — Stenographer, Embassy of Zambia in Moscow, Russia.

During the meeting, participants discussed potential areas of cooperation in higher education in detail and considered specific steps for establishing student exchange programs. Special attention was given to the development of exchange programs and scholarship opportunities for students from both countries.
