Oriented on making people closer

Day of Turkmenistan was held as part of the Caspian Seasons international classical art festival in Astrakhan on Saturday, August 24.

The musical culture of our country was represented on the stage of the Astrakhan Philharmonic by People's Artist of Turkmenistan, soloist Atajan Berdyev, outstanding pianist, laureate of national and international competitions Ashir Ashirov, as well as the chamber ensemble “Camerata Ashgabat”. The concert program included works of world and national classics, as well as popular song repertoire.

The event was attended by employees of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan), the city administration, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, teachers and students of universities, the festival and numerous Astrakhan residents.

In addition, the Turkmen diplomatic institution organized an exhibition in the foyer of the Astrakhan Philharmonic dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.

The guests of the event were very interested in seeing works of Turkmen fine and jewelry art, samples of national clothing and artistic crafts. The exhibition featured poetry collections by Magtymguly Fragi, scientific publications about the life and work of the great Eastern thinker, as well as a large number of diverse popular science literature dedicated to the history, flora, fauna and tourist attractiveness of Turkmenistan.
