 A Digital Silk Road Development Forum will be held in Xi'an

The Chinese city of Xi'an, located in Shaanxi province, will host the Digital Silk Road Development Forum. This was announced by Secretary General of the World Internet Conference, Ren Xianliang.

The forum will take place on April 16. It will be themed "Connectivity and Shared Prosperity" and will focus on three key issues: digital connectivity and cooperation in building the Silk Road, international e-commerce cooperation on the Silk Road, and digital villages and sustainable development.

As part of the forum, the “Digital Academy of the World Internet Conference” program will be officially launched. It will be aimed at nurturing a generation of digital talents, increasing digital literacy, and creating new electronic platforms.

To date, such leading companies as GSMA, Micron, Qualcomm, Intel, Alibaba, ZTE and others have confirmed their participation in the forum.

As a host city, Xi'an firmly believes in the role of the digital economy as a new driver of industrial growth.

Currently, the city has over 400 big data and cloud computing enterprises, over 300 artificial intelligence enterprises and various software enterprises.
