Oriented on making people closer

The Turkmen capital hosted the city championship in strict bicep lifting with a barbell. This was reported to the ORIENT correspondent by representatives of the Athletic Sports Federation of Turkmenistan.

Members of athletic clubs, student athletes, and pupils of sports schools and members of the athletic federation took part in the fight for the sports championship. The competition was held within the walls of the Ashgabat secondary specialized school of energy. Opening the championship, the director of the ssusa Gurbansahet Kitjiev addressed the participants with the words:

— Sport is a field where willpower meets determination, and the spirit of friendly rivalry pushes you to reach new heights. Today, you young athletes have gathered to inspire each other to overcome your limits. May this competition be remembered by you as a joyful event!

According to the results of the competition, champions in ten weight categories were determined:
• up to 52 kg – Saparov Eziz;
• up to 56 kg – Agaev Ilyas;
• up to 60 kg – Babayev Baba;
• up to 67.5 kg – Vyacheslav Ambursumov;
• up to 75 kg – Merdan Orazmamedov;
• up to 82.5 kg – Narkulov Kamil;
• up to 90 kg – Tachev Berdymurat;
• up to 100 kg – Orazmamedov Silap;
• up to 110 kg – Ataev Merdan;
• up to 120 kg – Emirgulyev Sapar;
