The Turkmenistan national ice hockey team won its first victory at the World Championship in Bishkek.

The World Championship among the teams of the third division (group A) takes place on the ice of the City Rink. The second round matches were held on March 11.

The program of the second round was opened by a duel between the national teams of Turkmenistan and South Africa. The Turkmen won 4-3 and won their first victory in the tournament, Sport AKIrgess reports.

In the first round on March 10, the national team of Turkmenistan lost to Luxembourg with the same score.

Results of the second round matches:
– Turkmenistan - South Africa — 4:3 (2:1, 1:1, 1:1);
– Mexico - Thailand — 0:5 (0:2, 0:1, 0:2);
– Luxembourg - Kyrgyzstan — 3:7 (0:3, 1:2, 2:2).

Tomorrow, March 13, the third round of the championship will take place, where the Kyrgyz national team will meet with the national team Turkmenistan.
