Oriented on making people closer

On Thursday, the National University of Uzbekistan hosted a presentation ceremony of the first book by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, “Youth is the Support of the Motherland.”

The event was attended by Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Tashkent Shadurdy Meredov, Advisor to the Committee on International Relations and Friendship with Foreign Countries under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olim Narzullaev, Rector of the National University of Uzbekistan Inom Majidov, Chairman of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan Sirojiddin Sayid, Chairman of the Turkmen National Cultural Center Guldana Avezdurdyeva, Professor of the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature Bahadir Karimov and Turkmen students studying at NUUz.

At the presentation, they talked about the rich content of the book and the achievements of Turkmen youth noted in it at various state and international scientific and creative competitions, sports competitions, and prestigious intellectual Olympiads.

The speakers emphasized that under the leadership of the leaders of the two countries, relations between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in the social, economic, cultural and educational spheres have reached a new level, and new prospects and directions have opened up in the development of mutually beneficial cooperation.

NUUz Rector Inom Majidov spoke about Turkmen students studying at the National University of Uzbekistan, the opportunities created for them, and international cooperation in the field of higher education, the NUUz information service reported.

Professor of the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature Bahadir Karimov in his speech noted that the book of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Youth - Support of the Motherland” covers all aspects of society, calls on young people to science and health in all aspects. Head of the Center for Turkmen Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Guldane Avezdurdyeva, noted that the book is written in a very clear language and will attract the reader with its multifaceted content.

Earlier it was reported that President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the widespread celebration of the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
