Samsung intends to fully automate its factories within 6 years
11.01.2024 | 13:20 |Samsung plans to fully automate its factories within the next six years.
Thus, a South Korean manufacturer has launched a new project to develop an automatic factory for the production of chips, which will not have human personnel. All processes in this factory will be controlled by artificial intelligence.
The company's new project will specialize in the creation of next-generation intelligent sensors. At the moment, we are talking about creating highly specialized devices for controlling the manufacturing processes of printed circuit boards, but the potential of such sensors is much wider.
One of the main difficulties Samsung may face along the way is the lack of an opportunity to teach automation to respond to abnormal situations, since they cannot be foreseen and described in detail.
Samsung has factories in 74 countries employing at least 270 thousand people.
