Foreign ministers of the Caspian countries will gather in Moscow
29.11.2023 | 15:58 |The foreign ministers of the five Caspian countries will gather on December 5 in Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Wednesday, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry website.
“On December 5 this year. a meeting of the foreign ministers of the Caspian states: Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan is planned in Moscow, chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation S.V. Lavrov,” she said.
This event launches a new regular ministerial dialogue within the framework of the mandate agreed at the Sixth Caspian Summit in Ashgabat in June 2022.
During the meeting, it is planned to consider a wide range of issues of mutual interest, with an emphasis on the priorities for the development of Caspian cooperation.
Zakharova noted that the Russian Foreign Minister will also hold bilateral negotiations on the sidelines of the Ministerial Council.
