In order to improve standards ensuring the safety of citizens, in Kazakhstan, owners of cars with gas cylinder equipment were required to install a special sign, the online publication Tengrinews reports.

The special sign is a yellow equilateral triangle with a black border with an exclamation mark and the inscription “GAS”. It must be installed so that the vehicle can be easily recognized when entering closed parking areas.

The innovation will come into force on January 1, 2024.

С 1 января на ряд авто в Казахстане будут клеить новый знак As the press service of KazStandard reported, this standard is mandatory and is included in the list of traffic rules approved by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic.

Head of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of Kazakhstan, Kuanysh Elikbaev, explained that the distinctive sign will help to easily identify cars with gas-cylinder equipment. After all, when converting to gas, all safety requirements are not always met. Therefore, such vehicles can be potentially dangerous for citizens.

From December 29, 2019, in Kazakhstan, cars with gas-cylinder equipment were prohibited from entering closed parking lots.
