10.05.2020 | 18:43 |The military parade in Ashgabat on Victory Day became a tribute to the heroism of the participants of the Great Patriotic War and a symbol of the continuity of military traditions, the banner of honor and dignity of the defenders of the Motherland, the valor of the army defending the world.
The uniform of soldiers of war time, including tunics, helmets, raincoats, and weapons gave the historic accent to the march. Cadets of military universities of Turkmenistan dressed in wartime military uniform marched in memory of those who went to the front in a similar uniform at the 1940’s.
The parade theme was continued by the demonstration of military equipment of the Great Patriotic War days – the Katyusha and the T-34 tank, as well as the spectacular Pobeda retro cars that drove at the very beginning, when the commander of the parade received report on the readiness of personnel of Ashgabat Harrison.
Cavalry with riders in red dons and telpeks was highlight of the parade. The Turkmen cavalrymen who were courageous and brave on their Akhal-Teke horses were remembered this way.
Of course, the military parade included the march of “modern” soldiers of various branches of troops, including special force battalion. Their synchronous step in perfect raw range beat the rhythm of tremendous energy, making the air and heart shudder. This is the pulse of courage and bravery, readiness to defend a peaceful life. These are powerful currents of genetic memory on national heroic deed in the name of such a great Victory that was forged by the cost of lives of millions of people.
