Turkmen athletes won ten medals at the World Belt Wrestling Championship
20.10.2023 | 01:11 |Turkmen athletes won ten medals - three gold, two silver and five bronze - at the World Belt Wrestling Championship among athletes under 20 held in Tajik Khujand. This is reported by the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the country.
The highest award was awarded to Mekan Nurberdiyev in the weight category up to 62 kg. Bayramguly Muhammedgulyev (up to 100 kg) also rose to the highest step of the podium. Annagurban Allaberdyev (up to 100 kg) brought another gold medal to the piggy bank of the Turkmen national team.
Jumamurad Gumalakov was in the second position in the weight category up to 68 kg. Gurbanyaz Allamuradov (over 100 kg) stopped a step away from gold.
Bronze medals were awarded to: Zekhin Meredaliev (up to 57 kg), Sylap Bayrammammedov (up to 62 kg), Guvanch Khemraev (up to 75 kg), Kerven Bayramov (up to 82 kg), Annagurban Allaberdyev (up to 100 kg).
The World Championship in Khujand gathered more than three hundred participants from 20 countries.
