Turkmen fighter Dovletjan Yagshimuradov defeated Poland's Maciej Ruzhański within the Bellator 300 tournament, which took place on the night of October 7-8 in San Jose (California, USA).

In the first round the representative of Poland tried to control the distance, but at the end of five minutes Yagshimuradov grabbed Ruzhański's leg and tried to throw him to the floor, but did not have time to formalize the knockdown.

In the second round, Ruzhansky nearly shook Yagshimuradov with his right overhand, but he quickly recovered and took the fight to the floor. There, the Turkmen fighter dominated his opponent with elbow strikes. The Pole was able to get out from under him, but it did not help to change the course of the fight.

In the third five-minute round, the situation repeated itself: again, Ruzhański's right overhand hit the Turkman, but the latter responded with a powerful take-down. In the parterre, Yagshimuradov controlled Ruzhansky and gave him no chance for an apk.

Thus, Yagshimuradov won the heavyweight title by unanimous decision of the judges.

33-year-old Dovletjan Yagshimuradov signed a contract with Bellator promotion in December 2020, becoming the first fighter from Turkmenistan in this organization. The athlete has 21 wins, 7 losses and 1 draw.

His opponent - 34-year-old Polish-born Maciej Ruzanski has 14 wins and 5 losses.
