Oriented on making people closer

The USAID Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Development (FGI) project conducted an information campaign in the capital and regions of Turkmenistan dedicated to the beginning of the second phase of the project and a new round of the co-financing program.

Grant opportunities have aroused active interest from private companies, business consultants and public associations. The participants of the meetings received detailed information about the application procedure, selection criteria, deadlines and possible amounts of grants.

The co-financing program is designed to support the development of the private sector in such areas as information and communication technologies, tourism, food and beverage industry, as well as the leather, clothing and textile industries. Special priority is given to the development of the digital and green economy, women's and youth entrepreneurship and the involvement of vulnerable segments of the population.

USAID launched the Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Development Project in September 2019 to support private companies, promote innovation and stimulate business growth through a financial assistance program in Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan.

Over the past four years, USAID has achieved significant results by supporting a large number of entrepreneurs and business owners in Central Asia. Based on these results, USAID extended the FGI project until 2026 in order to provide additional support to the private sector of the region.
