 The Chairman of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan took part in the elections of the ITF President

The congress of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) was held in the Mexican city of Cancun, where issues of the development of tennis in the world were discussed and new leaders of this sports organization were elected. The congress was attended by Chairman of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan (TTF), Eziz Dovletov, who on behalf of the national federation voted for the new leadership of the ITF, the press service of the Federation of this sport of the country reports.

According to the voting results, the current ITF President, David Haggerty, was re-elected for a third term - from 2023 to 2027. During the congress, ITF Vice-President Lucca Santili praised the achievements of the Turkmen Tennis Federation over the past 4 years, which were set as an example of successful development for other national federations.

The congress also included a two-day conference dedicated to the development of tennis in the world, and a number of bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening cooperation between national federations.

At the end of the congress, a doubles tennis tournament was organized among the congress delegates, in which 96 leaders from 147 countries took part. Turkmen representative Eziz Dovletov performed in pairs with Aditya Kanna from India, demonstrating a decent result.
