The men's and youth national teams of Turkmenistan went to a training camp in Tashkent
26.09.2023 | 12:49 |The men's national tennis team of Turkmenistan, as well as a team of juniors under 14, went to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, for a three-week training camp together with athletes from Uzbekistan, the press service of the Federation of this type of country reports.
The main base for training will be the world-famous tennis academy, named after the ex-16th racket of the world in lawn tennis - Iroda Tulyaganova.
After the end of the training camp, the men's team will take part in the Davis Cup, which will be held in Antalya, Turkey. This year, the national team of Turkmenistan is playing in the fourth group of the Asia and Oceania zone. In the competitions, they compete with the teams of Singapore, Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, Guam, Kyrgyzstan and Syria.
The main figure in the team is Captain Mirali Hasanov, who will lead into battle such players as Yuri Rogussky, Meilis Orazmukhammedov, Atlymurad Gurbanov, Hadzhymurad Charyev, Gurbanberdy Gurbanberdyev and Allanur Dayandzhev.
It should be noted that the youth national team under 14 will also be involved in international competitions. They will take part in two open championships of the Asian Federation, which will be held in the cities of Bukhara and Karshi. Young Turkmen tennis players will be represented in these competitions: Ilima Huseynova, Imran Akhundov, Selim Chagylov, Sabrina Rakhmanova, Aylara Kakabayeva, Resul Mammetgurbanov and Suleyman Hudayberdyev. They will train under the guidance of Andrey Dovmatov and Evgeny Molchanov.
