With the growth of AI and augmented reality services, the flow of tourists to the Middle East has increased
20.09.2023 | 09:30 |Advances in technology have played a critical role in increasing tourism travel to the Middle East. The region is rapidly gaining popularity as one of the top destinations in the leisure and entertainment industry thanks to virtual tours based on artificial intelligence and augmented reality.
The UAE and Israel occupy leading positions in this ranking. According to data compiled by travel management platform Voyagu, they accounted for 27.9% and 23.8% of total tourist arrivals for the year.
And in Egypt this year the highest growth in the number of travelers has been recorded - compared to last year, the number of tourists has increased by 80%, and the number of tourist offers by 64%.
According to Voyagu CEO and founder Ivan Saprov, travelers are now increasingly looking for deeper cultural experiences that go beyond the usual entertainment, such as camel rides.
“With the help of technology, travelers can create detailed itineraries that enhance their vacation experience,” he said.
Augmented reality allows people to visualize local culture, enriching their understanding and appreciation of the region.
