Oriented on making people closer

On Monday, September 18, a press conference was held in Ashgabat on the eve of the match of the first round of the AFC Champions League group stage between the football clubs "Ahal" (Turkmenistan) and "Al-Faiha" (Saudi Arabia). Coach Velsahed Ovezov and captain of "Ahal" Elman Tagaev spoke at the meeting with journalists.

The coach of "Ahal" expressed confidence in his wards and said that they are ready for a difficult confrontation with an experienced opponent.

The captain of the Turkmen team, Elman Tagaev, expressed his opinion about the upcoming match and said that his team respects its opponent, but is 100 percent ready. He said that his team wants to show their football and adequately represent Turkmenistan in the international arena.

Tagaev said that his "team hopes for the support of its fans who will fill the stands of the capital stadium." He added that his team will fight to the end and will not give up without a fight.

Ovezov shared with the audience tactics and strategy for the match and said that his team will play in a defensive style. He added that his players have studied the strengths and weaknesses of their opponent and will use their advantages.

The first match of the Turkmen team against Saudi Al-Faiha will be held on September 19 at 21:00 at the Ashgabat Stadium.
