In the Chinese city of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, the official opening of a themed garden of Asian flowers dedicated to the 19th Summer Asian Games took place, People's Daily writes.

The park, which main theme is “Stories of Seeds”, has two routes: “Land Silk Road” and “Maritime Silk Road”. The park reflects the cultural characteristics and floral symbols of different Asian regions - Western Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Central Asia.

In total, more than 200 types of flowers, characteristic of the countries participating in the Asian Games and suitable for growing in Hangzhou, have been scientifically selected.

The area of the park, located on the banks of the river, is about 28,000 square meters.

The planting design method of “new naturalism” is applied here, which creates a habitat for plants with high ornamental value, long landscape cycle, strong stress resistance and high biodiversity, which is an excellent example of scientific urban greening in the future.

“Oriental Floral Rhythm”, “Asian Floral Carpet”, “Flower Sail” - these and other sections of the park create a colorful narrative, a fragrant gallery of bright landscapes.

In the meadow, symbolizing the “Land Silk Road”, there are also art installations in the form of camels and horses. In the dark, the park is illuminated by environmentally friendly light sources.
